This matter comes before the court on the cross motions of plaintiff and defendant for summary judgment. Jackie Ross ("Ross") has brought suit against Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. ("Wal-mart") for false arrest, false imprisonment, and slander. Wal-Mart contends plaintiff's lawsuit is barred by a release signed by Ross.
