Defendant Isaac Asteri was charged and convicted of the murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 9-1-(a)(1)) of George Martinez and sentenced to 30 years' imprisonment. He appeals.

Isaac Asteri, George Martinez and Larry Bell lived in separate apartments at 5433 North Kenmore in Chicago. Asteri and Martinez had been friends since they were boys. Asteri, Martinez, and Oscar Monterroso...
