The defendant has requested the court, pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1251(b)(2) to recommend to the Attorney General that he not be deported. He was convicted of various counts of mail fraud and arson following a trial by jury. That he is deportable under 8 U.S.C. § 1251(a)(4) is not contested.
