In November, 1968, the plaintiff, Wendell Greenman, pleaded guilty to murder in the second degree. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. G.L.c. 265, § 2 (1986 ed.). He now challenges the refusal of the Massachusetts Parole Board (board) to grant him parole, on four occasions, "due to the gravity of the crime" and on the ground that Greenman has failed to acknowledge "the sexual aspects of the crime."
