On April 5, 1986, plaintiff husband was injured while riding on a fire engine that collided with a light pole. He contends that the accident occurred because of, inter alia, defects in the manufacture and design of the fire engine. He has instituted this personal injury action to recover damages from the company that designed, manufactured and sold the fire engine.
