In August of 1986, plaintiffs, Stephen and Cynthia Ward, purchased a home from defendants, Kenneth and Carol Kemp. On January 7, 1987, plaintiffs brought this redhibition suit seeking a rescission of the sale of the house and, in the alternative, a reduction in the purchase price. Additionally, plaintiffs sought damages and attorney's fees.
