This case presents a challenge to the drug testing program of the Detroit Police Department adopted by the Board of Police Commissioners on May 25, 1988. At a hearing held on July 10, 1989, the Court dissolved a previously entered temporary restraining order prohibiting the random drug testing of sworn police officers.
