The defendant was charged with possession of cocaine, La.R.S. 40:967, and a six member jury found him guilty as charged. He was sentenced to five years at hard labor plus a $5,000 fine and $155 court costs or six months additional time in default of payment of costs. The defendant pled guilty to a multiple bill and was resentenced to eight years at hard labor plus a $5,000 fine and $155 court costs or six months additional time in default of payment...
