On December 18, 1984, plaintiff, Walter Stelly, was allegedly injured during the course and scope of his employment with Patterson Services, Inc. (Patterson). In November, 1985, Stelly filed suit in tort against Great Southern Oil & Gas Co., Inc. (Great Southern) seeking monetary damages to redress his injuries.
