GERBER, Judge:

Respondent, by means of a notice of transferee liability, determined that petitioner was the transferee of Payton Courtney (deceased), transferor to the extent of $45,000. Respondent also determined that the transferor had deficiencies in income tax and additions to tax, as follows:
