Commencing on October 3, 1988, a jury trial was held on the plaintiff's claims, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1981 and Title VII, that the defendant unlawfully discharged him from his employment at A.C. Sparkplug because of his race and in retaliation for his prior complaints of race discrimination. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff on both the discrimination claim and the retaliation...
