Robert Merry was convicted of two counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance in November 1983. Superior Court Judge S.J. Buckalew, Jr., sentenced Merry to five years imprisonment with three and one-half years suspended and placed him on probation for five years following his release from confinement. Merry served ten and one-half months. The parole board then released Merry on discretionary parole. Merry's parole expired in May 1985, seven...
