One hundred sixty years and two months after its creation by the Maryland Legislature, the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company (B & O) went out of existence. It was merged into the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company (C & O) which, for many years, had had a controlling interest in B & O. Appellants are former minority stockholders of B & O.
