Lind-Waldock & Company ("Lind-Waldock") originally sued Glenn ("Glenn") and Mary ("Mary") Caan (collectively "Caans") in the Illinois state courts, claiming breach of contract and fraud in connection with losses Glenn suffered in 1980 as a trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (the "Exchange"). Caans then properly removed that action to this District Court because diversity of citizenship existed...
