MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

FREEDMAN, Chief Judge.

On May 26, 1988 judgment was entered for plaintiff in this Federal Employers' Liability Act ("F.E.L.A.") case in the amount of $458,000.00. The jury returned this verdict after a four-day trial. Before the Court is defendant's motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict ("j.n.o.v.") or, in the alternative, a new trial.
