On July 17, 1985, a Franklin County grand jury indicted Paul E. Dotson, charging him with two counts of assault with intent to murder, and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Following a jury trial in Superior Court, the defendant was found not guilty of assault with intent to murder Karen Dotson, guilty of assault with intent to kill Ronald Flood, and guilty on both counts alleging assault...
