The plaintiff, Ford Motor Credit Company, brought an action for replevin of certain motor vehicles in the possession of the defendant, B. W. Beardsley, Inc. On June 27, 1986, the plaintiff directed an ex parte application for the prejudgment remedy of replevin to a judge of the Superior Court for the judicial district of Hartford-New Britain at Hartford.
