COATS, Judge.

Gregory Jackson was convicted, following a jury trial, of murder in the first degree. AS 11.41.100. Superior Court Judge J. Justin Ripley sentenced Jackson to fifty years' imprisonment. Jackson is eligible for parole after twenty years pursuant to AS 12.55.125. Following his conviction and sentencing, Jackson filed a motion for a new trial based on his contention that he received ineffective...
