This complaint, which was originally filed in the Circuit Court for the County of Wayne, alleges that the plaintiff husband contracted human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the virus that appears to cause AIDS, from blood products supplied by defendant American Red Cross, and administered by defendant Sinai Hospital, following surgery in March of 1985.
