Defendant, John W. Borst, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in violation of section 11-501(a)(2) of the Illinois Vehicle Code (the Code) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-501(a)(2)), being in actual physical control of a vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration of .10 or more in violation of section 11-501(a)(1)
