Plaintiff Merlin Ringering brings this action in admiralty against Compania Maritima De-La-Mancha (Compania), and the vessel M/V Travemar Africa (Africa) for negligence, unseaworthiness, and violations of the Jones Act. Prior to trial, plaintiff withdrew the Jones Act claims. A court trial was held from December 17, 1986 to December 22, 1986.
