Defendant is charged with conspiracy to possess, with intent to distribute, in excess of 1,000 pounds of marijuana, and with conspiring to import marijuana, in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a), 846, 952(a), & 963. Both charges stem from an alleged conspiracy to use a fishing boat, the Gulf King IV, to off-load marijuana from a large Colombian vessel, and to bring the marijuana into the United States.
