Plaintiff Frederick F. Boczon was discharged by the defendant, Northwestern Elevator Co. (Northwestern), from his position as a journeyman elevator constructor and repair man in October 1985. At that time, Mr. Boczon was 55 years old. The plaintiff filed an age discrimination charge with the EEOC on January 22, 1986, alleging that he was unlawfully discharged because of his age.
