The instant case is a wrongful death action, originally brought by the surviving families and representatives of four decedents against the manufacturer of a boat. Plaintiffs have claimed that, due to defects in the boat caused by defendant's negligence, the four decedents lost their lives while driving the boat across Lake Michigan. Defendants, in turn, have filed a third-party complaint...
