Reginald LaCroix Poole appeals the district court's denial of his 28 U.S.C. § 2255 motion for habeas corpus relief.1 Appellant argues primarily that he was denied effective assistance of counsel at his trial and sentencing, and that an unconstitutional stipulation by defense counsel at trial relieved the government of the burden of proving a necessary element of the offenses charged.
