Following a trial by the court, the defendant, Willie McBride, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 9-2) of Diane Neil on July 20, 1983, in Chicago and he was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. On this appeal he contends for reversal that, because he was arrested "for investigation" and without probable cause, the trial court erred in overruling...
