Following a jury trial, the defendant, Sylvia T. Beavers, was convicted of three counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 56 1/2, par. 1401(c).) The court sentenced the defendant to a four-year term of probation and, besides ordering payment of $600 in restitution to the Metropolitan...
