A jury convicted defendant of felony murder, two counts of aggravated battery, and robbery. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, pars. 9-1(a)(3), 18-1, 12-4(a), 12-4(b)(10).) The trial court vacated the aggravated battery and robbery convictions and sentenced defendant to 30 years' imprisonment on the murder conviction.
