The plaintiff filed this action, in which she alleges discrimination based on race (plaintiff is black), pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981, 1988 and 2000e-2. She was hired by the defendant on October 29, 1979, as a receptionist. She alleges that she was discriminated against in the area of promotions, wages and other practices in the office.
