Respondent Joanne Nelson was employed by appellant Master Vaccine, Inc., as an office manager. Nelson sued Master Vaccine for overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). By special verdict, the jury found that Nelson was not exempt from the overtime provisions of the FLSA and awarded her damages of $2,939.07 and attorney's fees of $2,000.
