Walter and Elaine Wood (the Woods) are owners in joint tenancy of a house in the Town of Vernon. They appeal a judgment of the circuit court for Waukesha county which reduced a jury award in their favor from $60,183.02 to $25,000.00 for damages they sustained when their house partially collapsed. The primary issue is whether sec. 893.80(3), Stats. 1979, provides separate statutory liability of $25,000 to each of the joint tenant owners of a house damaged...
