Defendant, 32-year-old Virginia Williams, was charged with the offense of cruelty to a child, to which she pleaded guilty. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 23, par. 2368.) The circuit court of St. Clair County entered judgment on the plea on February 22, 1985, and sentenced the defendant to an extended term of six years' imprisonment.
