A one count indictment charged that Arnoldo Moreno-Hinojosa and Mario Narcisco Maldonado knowingly possessed over fifty kilograms of marihuana with the intent to distribute in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) and (b)(1)(B). The defendants received separate trials and each was convicted. Moreno-Hinojosa appeals his conviction on two grounds: (1) that the trial court improperly admitted evidence of two prior convictions for marihuana...
