Jo Ann Willis Williams was killed when she drove into the side of appellant Louisiana and North West Railroad Company's locomotive. The locomotive had stopped at the crossing of Highway 19 and appellant's track near Magnolia so that the front end blocked only her lane of traffic. The appellee, James H. Willis, administrator of the estate of Mrs. Williams, was awarded $5,000 in compensatory damages and $65,000 in punitive damages in an action against...
