This is an appeal from a judgment of the Hopkins Circuit Court in a workers' compensation case. The Workers' Compensation Board had previously dismissed appellee Linda L. Chappel's claim for benefits filed on behalf of her deceased husband, Francis Chappel, based upon the conclusion that he had failed to provide appellant employer, Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Company, with timely notice of a work-related injury to his leg as required by KRS 342...
