The Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor charged Lucille Ogden, hereafter designated as the employer, with rejecting Rebecca Miller for employment on grounds of her age, in violation of ORS 659.030(1)(a). After a contested case proceeding, the commissioner found that the employer had violated the statute and ordered her to cease and desist from future age discrimination and to pay Miller $16,910.41 in lost wages and prejudgment interest.
