Defendant, Victor J. Williams, Jr., was charged by bill of information with knowingly or intentionally possessing 10,000 pounds or more of marijuana, in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966(E)(3). A jury found defendant guilty as charged, and the trial court sentenced him to be imprisoned at hard labor for twenty years,1 with credit for time served.
