Following a one-car accident, defendant, James David Gould, was charged with negligent homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol. Gould's companion, Dawn Clough, was killed. A Lewis and Clark County District Court jury returned guilty verdicts on both charges. The District Court sentenced Gould to 3 years imprisonment on the negligent homicide charge with all but 6 months county jail time suspended and imposed a $1,000 fine. He received 30...
