Defendant, Paul Ernest Sparks, was convicted by a jury of first degree murder, A.R.S. § 13-1105; and negligent homicide, A.R.S. § 13-1102. He was sentenced for the murder to a term of life imprisonment without possibility of parole for twenty-five years, A.R.S. § 13-703; and to a term of eight years for the negligent homicide to be served consecutively to the life sentence, A.R.S. §§ 13-1102, -604, -708. We have jurisdiction...
