Defendant, Gregory Owens, was charged by grand jury indictment with aggravated rape and aggravated burglary in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:42 and LSA-R.S. 14:60. Defendant filed a pretrial motion to suppress: "Certain items of clothing, footwear and a kitchen knife, as well as other items seized and sought to be used against the defendant, including certain exculpatory statements allegedly made by defendant and certain blood and saliva samples...
