Plaintiffs Cindy and Tim Gregory brought an action in Superior Court (Somerset County) that, inter alia, claimed, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 (1981), that defendants Town of Pittsfield and its town manager violated their federal constitutional rights to procedural due process in that the Town denied the Gregorys general assistance benefits without adhering to Maine's statutory procedures...
