This appeal comes to the court upon an Agreed Statement in lieu of the Record on Appeal pursuant to DCCA Rule 10(k). According to the agreed statement of facts, after the birth of appellant's third child, appellant and the father of two of her children determined that they could not afford additional children. Therefore, on May 9, 1978, appellant underwent a laparoscopic cauterization to prevent her from becoming pregnant in the future...
