Appellant Willie Miller was convicted of first-degree murder but acquitted of carrying a pistol without a license in connection with the fatal shooting of Michael Bottoms. He appeals both from the judgment of conviction and from the trial court's denial without a hearing of his subsequent motion to vacate sentence.
