Respondent Freier commenced this defamation action against appellants school district and school board members arising out of a January 8, 1981, decision and order issued and published by the school board, discharging respondent Freier from his employment as a teacher. The school district and school board members moved for summary judgment, claiming that publication of its decision to discharge Freier was cloaked in an absolute privilege...
