OPINION

CANNON, Justice.

Appellant was indicted for the felony offense of carrying a handgun while on a premise licensed to sell liquor. The appellant filed a motion to suppress the evidence as fruit of an illegal arrest and search, which was denied. After the hearing on the motion to suppress, the appellant waived his right to a trial by jury and entered a plea of nolo contendere to the reduced misdemeanor charge of carrying a prohibited weapon.
