On February 18, 1982, Aaron Walters, the master of the barge SUDSUR ELEVATOR, sustained personal injuries when the tug HARVEY CHALLENGER collided with his vessel in Tiger Pass, near the mouth of the Mississippi River. Elevating Boats, Inc., the owner of the SUDSUR ELEVATOR, paid maintenance and cure of $8,886.75 directly to the injured seaman.
