This is an appeal from a summary judgment in respondent's favor.

On August 17, 1979, appellant Schier's husband leased an automobile from respondent Hertz Corporation (Hertz). Three days later, while operating the leased vehicle, Schier and her husband were involved in an automobile accident with an uninsured vehicle driven by Hazel Jones and owned by Arthur Sharpe.
