Monroe Auto Equipment, Inc. (Monroe) sued Lemert Engineering Company, Inc. (Lemert) seeking treble damages and attorney's fees after a check issued by Lemert to Monroe, in the amount of $7,506.00, was twice dishonored by the drawee bank. The trial court granted Monroe's motion for summary judgment and entered judgment against Lemert in the amount of $24,018.00.
