HICKMAN, Justice.

Frank Askew was convicted of three counts of forgery and three counts of theft of property. He had eight prior convictions for various offenses, including sale of heroin and sale of cocaine, possession of stolen mail, interstate transportation of stolen false securities, forgery, uttering, and criminal attempt to obtain drugs by fraud. He was sentenced to twenty years imprisonment on each count to be served consecutively.
