Respondent determined deficiencies in petitioners' Federal income tax for the years and in the amounts as follows:

           Year               Deficiency

           1977 ............    $5,386
           1978 ............     8,154

The deficiencies arise out of the disallowance by respondent of deductions for interest claimed by petitioners to have been paid on indebtedness...
